Profile & Wage Settings

Profile & Wage Settings

Your profile defines your work conditions, schedule, and pay rates. If you have multiple jobs, create separate profiles and switch between them.

Profile Tabs

The profile editor has four tabs:

1. Detail — Basic Information

  • Name — a label for this profile (e.g., "Main Job", "Freelance")
  • Country — used for automatic public holiday detection
  • County/Region — for country-specific tax rules (e.g., German Bundesland)
  • Work period — Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly calculation cycle
  • Daily work hours — your target hours per day (e.g., 8 hours)
  • Default break time — standard break duration (e.g., 30 minutes)
  • Hourly rate — your base pay rate
  • Currency — the currency for wage calculations
  • External ID — optional ID for integration with external systems
  • Remaining vacation — your current vacation balance

2. Work Calendar — Schedule Setup

  • Work days — select which days of the week you work (Mon–Sun)
  • Holiday behavior — configure whether public holidays count as overtime or regular days
  • Per-day hours — set different work hours for different days (e.g., 8h Mon–Thu, 6h Friday)
  • Planned in/out times — your expected clock-in and clock-out times

3. Finances — Rates and Shifts

Configure detailed pay rates:

  • Overtime rate — multiplier or fixed rate for overtime hours
  • Weekend rates — separate rates for Saturday and Sunday work
  • Holiday rate — rate for working on public holidays
  • Shift rates — different rates for morning, afternoon, and night shifts, each with configurable time ranges
  • Vacation rate — pay rate during vacation days

The app validates shift time ranges to prevent overlaps.

4. Vacation — Time Off Tracking

  • Annual vacation days — your total entitlement for the year
  • Sick days — annual sick day allowance for tracking purposes

Multiple Profiles

You can create as many profiles as you need — one per job, client, or role. Switch between profiles by:

  • Tapping your profile name in the top bar
  • Swiping from the right edge to open the profile drawer
  • Selecting a profile from the profile list

Each profile has its own work records, settings, and statistics. The active profile is shown with a checkmark.

Employee vs. Freelancer Mode

  • Employee mode (daily work hours > 0) — enables overtime calculations, vacation tracking, and daily targets
  • Freelancer mode (daily work hours = 0) — focuses on total hours and earnings without overtime calculations

Company Integration

If your employer uses Working Timer, your profile can be linked to a company. Company-linked profiles may have:

  • Work request workflows (vacation approval, etc.)
  • Company-specific settings and restrictions
  • Shared data visibility with managers

Tip: Set your country correctly — it determines which public holidays are automatically recognized in your calendar and affects how overtime is calculated on those days.
