Notifications & Reminders

Working Timer can send you smart notifications to help you stay on top of your work time tracking.

Notification Types

Configure each notification individually in Settings > Notifications:

  • Work start — reminds you to start tracking at your planned clock-in time
  • Work end — alerts you when you've reached your daily work hours target
  • Overtime alert — notifies you when you've exceeded your planned hours
  • Break time reminder — reminds you to take a break after a configured period
  • Break end reminder — alerts you when your break time is over and it's time to resume
  • Daily summary — sends an end-of-day summary of your worked hours
  • Missed punch — alerts you if no work record was created for a scheduled work day
  • Inactivity reminder — notifies you if you haven't tracked any time for 3 or more days

Notification Center

Tap the bell icon on the Dashboard to open the Notification Center. Here you can:

  • View all your notifications (local and remote)
  • Mark notifications as read
  • Accept or reject action-based notifications (e.g., work requests)
  • Delete notifications you no longer need

The bell icon shows an unread count badge when you have new notifications.

iOS-Specific Features

On iOS, you can also enable:

  • Dynamic Island — shows your running timer in the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones
  • Lock Screen counter — displays your elapsed work time directly on the Lock Screen

Master Switch

Use the Hide all notifications toggle to silence all notifications at once without changing individual settings.

Tip: Enable the "Missed punch" notification to catch days where you forgot to track your time — it's especially helpful if you don't use geofencing or a regular routine.
